Our diagnostic visit is $80. We'll inspect your system, explain what we find, and provide the repair cost before any work is performed. If you approve the repair, we waive the $80 diagnostic fee.
-
Age alone doesn't mean your system needs to be replaced. We'll repair minor issues when practical. If a major component fails on an older system, we'll explain the repair cost and the potential for future problems so you can make an informed decision without pressure.
-
Generally, no. An air conditioner shouldn't normally need refrigerant added every year. If the refrigerant is low, there may be a leak or another issue that needs to be addressed. We'll help identify the cause rather than simply continuing to add refrigerant.
-
Higher energy bills or rooms that are too hot or too cold can be caused by airflow problems, ductwork, thermostat issues, insulation, dirty components, or an aging system. We'll evaluate the system and help identify what's contributing to the problem.
-
Yes. We service all major HVAC brands and most types of heating and cooling equipment. If you're unsure about your system, just give us the brand and model and we'll be happy to help.
-
Yes. My approach goes beyond checking boxes. I start by asking about your concerns, then inspect airflow, safety, drainage, and system performance using actual measurements - not guesswork.
I'll explain what I find, prioritize anything that needs attention, and help you understand what can wait. The goal is to keep your system operating properly and give you a clear picture of its condition

Why I Started Refresh
I started Refresh because I wanted to build an HVAC company around careful diagnosis, clear explanations, and options without pressure.
My background combines hands-on HVAC work with engineering. I’ve worked as a mechanical engineer on medical, public, and residential projects, and I have a degree in automation and control. I tend to look at HVAC systems a little differently. I want to understand why something isn’t working so I can address the root of the problem, not just the symptom.
My faith shapes how I work and treat people, keeping me focused on being honest, dependable, and accountable.
